But yeah the covering the countryside in concrete isn't helping. A local housing estate here flooded....in a spot we used to play in the flood water as kids. All the surrounding bogs and wet ditches gone as well Same here in Catcliff near Rotherham the council gave planning permission to build on green belt land and lo and behold flooding of residential properties has occurred. Part of me feels sorry for the residents of these properties but I know if I was buying a property in this area I would find out if there was a risk of flooding and even if it was only a slight risk I would decline buying. All the surrounding bogs and wet ditches gone as well Look up how much water a tree drinks mate it’s amazing yet we are cutting down acres per day, my boy is a ground worker and he’s not long finished a big estate in Berkeley it’s in a valley that fills with water every winter as well all the land around is bog, retaining walls we’re cracking not long after going up drains constantly breaking underground and one house was knee deep in water the day after someone had moved in and had it all furnished,I think a proper natural disaster is the only thing that will save the few that survive just hope I,m around to see it 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I bought a suzuki gsxr 750 k5 2005 model in 2007 with 3k miles on it and put over 60k miles on that bike..it would be bouncing off the redline every day commuting..no matter how much you abused that engine it just felt better and better..seriously impressive build quality.. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
