I'm currently psyching myself up to head out in the crap weather with dogs tomorrow, I used to love it. Don't know if I don't enjoy it as always looking over shoulder, or just bored of going to the same old places ....I guess working away kills any regular structure of hobbies etc. two young lads to entertain, sports mad. My dog days are done for the foreseeable I think. Welcome to come for a shine/run with me any night I'm off mate. Cheers, D.

pesky1972 5,635
Been wet and windy for months here, with ground water logged and regular flooding. Wettest winter for at least ten years I reckon. Had a fishing trip to Norfolk broads cancelled in November due to flooding. Think the issue is more tidal than due to rainfall, but think they’ve had it tough the last few months. Hopefully we’ll get a cold snap soon.
Daniel cain 48,675
Listening to the wind howling last night...was very surprised to get up this morning to see the greenhouse and kennel roofs still on...been watching the river levels on the Wye and Monnow the last week, for a last Barbel of 2023...flood warnings in place from Hereford to Redbrook rest of this year is a write off, feel sorry for those folks whos houses etc are under water...
Arry 24,822
Been out this morning had a pain of glass blown out on the green house. Still blowing strong not the best weather for working on a green house but thought if I didn't do it others might get blown out. Might get a window in the weather tomorrow here to try and get out. Cheers Arry

Just got back from a dog walk, the river frome is overspilling its banks all the way from the m5 down to the Severn fields slowly filling with water, could be another 2007 style flood around here if the rain don’t stop rather quickly
mackem 29,522
Unusually mild, ice is thin and no snow, two kids were drown two days back when ice skating just outside the city, four went skating on what would normally be thick ice two got out when the ice broke and two didnt, water puddles on all of the lake and river ice. I've been working near Avon not too far from Frome they've closed bridges etc numerous times prior to Christmas, we must be at saturation point, if we do get a beast from the east this winter it'll be brutal...
