The travellers got it right more or less do there own thing don’t pay into something that don’t work and live in fields free of charge, not that silly are they after all

Jmho, but ireland is so nice and so traditional in so many ways that they don’t fully appreciate what is coming, take where I live, these people have no concept of their kids getting stabbed for a phone or their bike, they don’t understand ghettos and street crime, they don’t have any notion of their daughters being gang raped by Muslims……their life just isn’t like that, these people still know the bloke next door and all his extended family, their relative is probably married to one of next doors relatives and they have probably lived in the locality for 400 years and all that caper (like my neighbour who’s family has been in the same square mile for 400 years !!) ……..he don’t understand this stuff, they are just nice people.

My county was the only county that voted against same sex marriage, not because they are all raving bigots, but simply because they just can’t understand why or how a man marries another man……not hate, no agenda, just  simple old fashioned logic and that is how they look at life.

If someone lands on your doorstep (no matter where from) they are just nice and polite because that’s how normal people behave…….they don’t understand the alien isn’t like them and they don’t understand why he wouldn’t be.

Absolutely zero concept.

So, you can’t be too harsh on folks because they have not had the experiences many of us in England have had.

Like I keep saying mate, the answer to that is “maybe”…….what these people have is a strong sense of what’s right and wrong for their community and they are vociferous about it……I have said this before, but a few years back an old boy got robbed on a Sunday on the street, Tuesday there was 1500 people marching to the guards station to demand they buck their ideas up because quote “we are not having that in our town” …….that’s more than half the entire population of the town mate.

As I keep telling people, it’s just different……in fairness, much as I find the game boring, you have the GAA to thank for a lot of that because of how it works.
