Was thinking of you this morning after seeing the clip on the news about the sinkhole on the Shropshire canal appearing that will no doubt curtail any boat movement on that canal for a wile.

Not uncommon and often the work of badgers I know of two large setts within walking distance of me that go in the side and under the canal and could breach at any times

Me too especially if your a livaboard like Greyman. That's your whole world and house sunk,  must be awfull

The boating community are quite tight knit and they will be looked after but yes that’s a shitter to wake up to,though I must admit I do like the challenges things like this bring I’m an old decker and every adventure could be the last it makes you feel alive

Had a drift around Corbridge the other week, the riverside walk is busy with that big car park, used to travel up on the train years ago and get up on the tops around Dukes house past Dilston physic garden etc, nice area
