Today I tried 2 small ponds up on dartmoor , the owners warned me on the phone they were tough, they weren't kidding. 

Lovely peaceful spot though.

Having a go on wharfe still about a meter in but been dropping slowly all day hopefully the barbel are playing tonight

Had Friday evening in the motorhome up the wye with my 2 lads..fish a chuck on feeder rods with the  maggot feeders ,loads of chublets,bleak,roach,minnows and surprisingly loads of really good dace...no barbel,but i did have a few nice chub over 4lb after dark,was hoping to fish Saturday morning but it pissed down none stop all night and the river was up and roaring next morning

Quality time with your lads can't beat it mate they soon grow up don't they. That phone of your lads should of got left at home though lol. My lad would of been exactly the same bloody tiktok shite and forthnight. drives me mad

They were taking like barbel that night , wrapping the tip over and taking line off the baitrunner . Lost a couple that night aswell to hook pulls and one on a double hook up , landed one but the other had got off while I was landing the first

Can't beat the excitement of that tip bending double hearing the reel screaming off. A normally leave it for a second or two having the drag set firm making sure that hook on rig beds in natural.

Couple miles further downstream next to ullerskelf village all private stretches at tadcaster now you can buy day ticket’s for there but no point as I have above and below on my Leeds book

Couple of hours tonight with a 60’s Abu 503 and 90’s tricast spliced tip rod on a club pond . Maggot just brought tiny silvers but corn brought quality roach and f1’s

Last few sessions on the sea, had an eventful day out yesterday, had some nice pollock for the freezer, a good few sharks around the boat, the biggest whiting I’ve ever seen, just shy of the Welsh record and a big big fish pretty sure a tuna took a liking to one of the baits on the shark rods and got completely stripped by the beast, that’s all I could do was hold on and watch as the line disappeared drag was pretty much at max and and it took it like it was on a river reel unreal power, gutted we lost it but memories made. Tight lines atb

Had another go on wharfe after work for couple hours second cast rod slammed round with a good barbel but lost it in bush right next to me fished up till dark 3 more bites ended with 3 fish on the bank probably a good 8/9 feet of water in so sat at top of bank
