From the co Antrim river the other day, hooked into a 5lb salmon

Had a few hours on the river with a mate earlier . Ended with 3 chub and 8 barbel between us with the biggest being this half tailed 11.4

Did our yearly trip to the Fraser, was a brutal trip to be fair with it pissing down, cold and windy most of the 4 days we were there. Only had two small salmon and no sturgeon over the first 3 days, but got into fish on the last day fishing the harrison rive. We ended up with a couple of salmon and 4 sturgeon over 6ft on day four, biggest 2 went 7ft 8" and 7ft 3"

Cormorants are busy catching...me I'm just drowning bait had a few tiny dabs yesterday... struggling today mind

They are the new Westin drop off alarms , pretty much the same as Billy’s backbiters but only £32 instead of £90  . Just tried a Billy’s arm in the alarm and it fits exactly so spare arms are easy to get if needed

Spoke to a guy earlier down on the river who had just pulled his boat on the ramp,caught a 37 inch long muskie on a home made lure.p
