It's  my bash-about rod. Bamboo with a ( slightly bent) greenheart tip. The "flamed" pattern gives an otherwise cheap rod a bit of character . Probably pre war  but of no value whatsoever . 

Luckily the fish aren't fussed about what they are caught on. In fact they probably  would prefer not to be caught at all

Just a few carp of previous captures. Nothing huge only doing for some peaceful time.

There the days you think it's worth a 7 day lay down at the side of the bank not getting ghosted when you book the week off work. Some times to get f**k all. Welldone mate.

Yee it’s like that some times, a have done a fair few blanks in me time like more then most ha but I still enjoy it every time I manage to dust the rods off.

Add a quick hour yesterday as was busy with work errands. Was fishing for bout 10mins with a soft lure and as I was retrieving lure just about to come out of water a fish struck the lure but never took . A long slimish silver fish about 7 inches long . Then a barge came through and all the water seem to go a lot more discoloured after that . Got home and some bits had arrived from Temu. So hoping these little lures will be worth a chuck.

My lad does well ,by us,with those little jointed pike/roach looking lures...got a real good action when you retrieve them

Them bottom little plugs are great for chub. I've got some even smaller mate from temu

Cheers mate , I add a couple of hours yesterday at teatime. Didn’t even get a bite , but I did get talking to one old boy who said there is not much in that stretch and put me onto a different bit to try . I did see fish , quite big and was bream apparently. I also got sick of the constant alcoholics and crackheads walking the towpaths, just wrong uns. But I did see this nice peace of art work.
