One i bred years ago out of a 22tts beddy type lurcher to a grey/saluki it's a good cross for a bit of everything concerning edible quarry.

I had a beddy/whippet/grey back along,  was handy enough.  In truth pretty much a bred down grew with a rough coat.

She had pace, perhaps a little to much but did well enough on the lamp and took a few bits daytime.

I'm told the idea of adding beddy blood 2 the salukis was 2 stop them mardy arseing all the time as the lads were gerrin stick off the council like

My unculs last lurcher was bred same way and he kept bedy lurchers for over 60yrs along with deerhound x collie greys

I think wind is only thing a bedy grey lacks so putting sal blood into the mix soon sort that ,my bitch she's got early pace qnd if she grabs hold its game over but like you say just not got the gears for long runs .

that’s how i find them mooch a good one is at them great for lamping real easy to get on with aswell
