On a scale of responsibility for the horrendous scandal I’d say the police are up there on the same level with the pakis. Anyone that can turn a blind eye to what went on is every bit as implicit as t

A lot of them young girls were from broken or disfunctional homes and was there not a lot from care homes??  Society, social services and the police force down to the Bobby on the beat all failed

Go to any northern town now at night, go to any town center car park where Asians hang out in their cars smoking weed and listening to music and you will see the young white girls with them in there c

It shows how little they actually give a f**k. Firstly to ignore and blame the victims. Then to whitewash the events. Job done. There's a serious lack of  confidence in any of our institutions. i hope it will bite them in the arse one day.

They never have given a feck about the young lasses from some times troubled backgrounds that's why the perpetrators were allowed to get away with it for so long. I would have thought after the miners strike South Yorkshire police would have tried to build bridges with the working class community's of Rotherham.

  • 3 weeks later...

This all occurred during the height of the Politically Correct era. The senior officers were scared of having their promotion chances ruined by any claims of racial harrassment so they instructed the troops to look the other way when Asians were involved. They had a habit of blocking Rotherham town centre with their taxis if one of them got a fixed penalty notice so we were told not to issue them to Asians. If I did they would get cancelled due to some dubious 'error' that was never explained. It was a horrible place to work at that time as there were always out to get you for some discriminatory matter. I had a few close calls after speaking common sense.

And where was the Chief Constable when all this was taking place? Lining his and his friend's pockets with grants issued to road safety companies to to surveys and research into road safety. He himself was a director of one of these companies whilst drawing a healthy wage as Chief Constable. No wonder he couldn't remember anything about it when summoned before a Parliamentary Enquiry. Yet if I had been summoned to a Disciplinary Hearing and used that tactic I would have been sacked.

Farcically the Superintendent at Rotherham at the time found employment as head of Child Safety with Rotherham Council after retiring from the police.

Thankfully, as a dog handler in the outskirts of the town I never got involved in those enquiries so wasn't one of the 90 or so issued with summonses.

I rocked the boat so many times the CC put a price on my head for anyone who could get me sacked. He didn't like the questions I asked on the Ask The Chief page of the force Intranet. Questions like: I see that you have now changed your stance on fighting the government's amalgamation of forces plan that you urged us to fight. Other than the government dropping their plans to seriously reduce the numbers of senior officers the rest of the plan seems to be the same. Reductions in specialist services, reductions in admin staff, officers being forced to  move to other areas, etc, etc. So please could you explain your sudden enthusiasm for the amalgamation plans?

The problem with rocking the boat is that you become marginalised and everyone wanting the next pay grade up is hunting your ass. Also, police officers, serving or retired cannot report corruption to the IPCC. It has to be referred to the force itself. Fox and chicken coop scenario. There are plenty of good cops out there, but not in the higher ranks. The government has got the police service it deserves.

Why didnt you and your colleagues go to the papers

I did. They weren't interested. There aren't many investigative journalists around. They just print press releases or facebook gossip.

This isn't just a South Yorkshire Police failure. It happened all over the country wherever Asians were concentrated. And the failures were spread across many public services including schools, local authorities and health authorities. I have customers from all those fields and their experiences are the same as mine. It is down to government policies over many years.

when you’re from a shit home. They don’t give a f**k when you’re not from a wealthy background.”.....................Says it all

Not the case. I have come across many cases where kids from richer fa ilies went off the rails and they were failed by the system too. One young woman was a talented musician and had been playing in  youth orchestras until she became alcoholic. Then she was dumped into a private alcohol rehabilitation centre that simply took public money for nothing. They didn't stop her going out even though she returned blind drunk or ended up in A&E. They didn't restrict her spending money. They just collected their payments and let the police and hospital staff do the work.

Same in  private childrens homes. They often had rogue kids from well off families who ran off all the time.

Go to any northern town now at night, go to any town center car park where Asians hang out in their cars smoking weed and listening to music and you will see the young white girls with them in there cars, being groomed. There isn't a journalist, teacher or in some cases parents who would dare claim it was an issue or anything more than fantastic cultural diversity. They would actually see it as positive that these girls are mixing with the Asian communities.

The Mrs had a mate within her group when younger who was a right tramp, she would give her number to paki taxi drivers who drove them home. 2 weeks later she would be crying to my Mrs because she couldn't understand why 'naz' was just coming round for sex after work but wouldn't take her out anywhere. As a society the very thought of admitting that these young pakis only want to use young white girls still, even after all these grooming scandals, is something that can never be talked about or admitted.

Schools could never advise these young girls about Muslim men, the media could never give a warning, and many parents these days....if they even understood the meaning of parental responsibility are conditioned to such an extent that even considering an ethnic of doing wrong is considered racist
