How does that work at this point? Like, what guarantees would Russia need to be sure that as soon as they’re out NATO doesn’t role in with, what we now know is, a far superior force. I’m not sure they’d accept any promises at this point. Trust is non existent.

If Russia agreed to a ceasefire but not to leaving (as a guarantee) then that’s tantamount to a bloodless victory for them.

:hmm:

I agree, maybe they maintain a buffer zone ?

I genuinely don’t know mate but I do think we have provoked Putin

When the sanctions start to take affect, China will help Russia bypass the sanctions. But there will be terms and conditions.

Nah mate most sanctions are freezing of assets , shutting down currencies, banks, businesses, personal accounts, etc etc. China might have offered to buy oil and gas or raw materials, but not much they can do to replace money, and if Russia has nothing China won't want to know, another important reason Russia won't be allowed to win is that China will see it as a free pass ....

Do you think he genuinely felt threatened by the EU , whom he supplies oil and gas as well as a miriad of other goods.... Do you believe Ukraine were likely to get into NATO ,

I’m a bit concerned that after the clusterfuck shitzkrieg we’ve seen, the yanks will get brave next time and actually kick off something serious!

I can’t believe some on that side are entertaining the idea of a no fly zone!

China have basically said today that they are holding Russia a arms length over this,  how much of that is actually true I don't know ?

USA was importing twice what they exported to China , so trump began to rebalance the import export, something like 300-600 billion deficit. I think it's mighty likely that USA has the world by the dollar, and anyone trying to get around it isn't going to last long, whether Libya or any other state. If I were donning a tin hat I might say Russia was contemplating crypto conversion with China lol. I'm kidding mind

China has it's own equivalent of the swift payment system.                                   There was an nuclear agreement with Iran and everyone was happy with, but Israel wasn't, then trump was elected and scrapped the agreement. Then Trump imposed severe sanctions on Iran.                                                                      Now China and Iran have strong economic and military ties .                              America pulls out of Afghanistan and China moves in.                                      When the West makes enemies ,China makes friends.

How's China in Afghanistan?

Iran was at it long before trump came along, I'm not saying USA hasn't meddled plenty, what is the China Iran relationship about , just oil? Surely sanctions prevent that?

not sure how recent or even if genuine, but there's been a few videos now....

That’s from a few days ago at the start of the invasion. There’s one from today where they spank one, you see the hit and the crash. All the other choppers immediately start firing flares.

Looks legit but who knows…
