A bloke I’ve done quite a bit of work for has asked if we’d do a patio at his daughters first house and as he’s paying for it we are now ripping it all up and putting something nice down

they have had the snagging lad off YouTube here and theres a list of over 150 faults, the bricky’s are here now from West Yorkshire and they have cut out and replaced over 500 bricks, this is a 350k house and the build quality and the materials they have used are shocking, this is the main reason I won’t work on sites, they are full of mongs that are only in it for a wage, no pride in what they are doing and no consequences for being sh*te at your job

There for the income, not for the outcome.

Cheers, D.

Love working with this lad, I learn loads, the place isn’t square so he’s run a boarder of 400’s then two rows of what should of been the boarder then the rest of the paving on the diagonal, it will look mint when it all down, no wonder he’s £20 an hour more than me ( lol )

Bit more down today, he’s letting me put the edging in now ( he’ll probably re-do it all when I’m not there lol ) I’ve got a fencing job to start tomorrow so could probably give him half a day Thursday on the mixer

Little fencing job today and next door have just asked for a price for theirs, next week I was meant to be starting a months worth of work, my mate has rang him and he’s got someone else in, which is fine, but he hasn’t had the decency to let me know, so now, so now I’ve got to look for work, hopefully the farm demolition job I’ve been asked about comes off

Got all the first fence job cleared and ready and I’ve got next door to do as well now, so most of that is out, had a look at the demolition job and it’s a big property, not sure how long that will take 2 of us to clear the site ( I’d guess, 7 to 10 days)

they said they are waiting for a bat survey, so it’s anyone’s guess what will come of that
