How many bitches you had over the years mate, you think they make better hare catchers or never noticed a difference?

That's what I would think, I mean there's no physiological reasons why a bitch would be a better athlete.

I just think it's coincidence that bitches have won more of the big coursing comps.

It would be interesting to hear from lads who have bred coursing dogs. @thefensarefarbutistillgowhat's your opinion, have you noticed any trends?

I’ve always found bitches to be that little bit keener, sharper and faster than dogs and it easier to get a good bitch than a dog, there also seems to of been more champion bitches than dogs as shown in the forley results but if you get a good dog it’s worth it’s weight in gold as a good bitch that comes in season to often or at the wrong times you will never get the best out of it without jabbing it up which is easily done anyway when you know there cycles

That's where it becomes interesting as like has been said in Greyhounds it tends to be the males that dominate the racing scene.

Lots of people sell lurcher bitch pups for more than the dogs, but with racing greyhounds it's the dog pups that are more expensive ??‍♂️

Thats mainly because there's more men that race greyhounds than breed and buy in saplings and as dogs do better on the track the dogs cost more.
