What's cooking?

Recommended Posts

Done myself a nice big cheesy omelette the other day but when I stuck it under the grill to brown the top my grill was pathetic barely any heat or flame so this morning I took the whole lot out and stripped it down for a good clean out think I may have found the issue the jet was blocked solid nice result all back together and working now

Rabbit Pie ! And, for the purists, made with shortcrust pastry, NOT puff pastry ! ? ! Cheers.

Family get together at ours, so a bit of a spread.. 13 hour cooked brisket, slow cooked pork shoulder.. Home made coleslaw, stuffing, roasties... and a 2 day hangover! Lol

Treat off my dad tonight, he's a friend on the fresh fish stall up town... Scallops and lemon sole fillets...

Know Liver I love the smell of it cooking especially with the onions. Know that I texture I find very strange and cant handle.

I don't like the texture of kidneys, heart or tongue as well.

Cheers Arry

Same mate , Nan used to cook it for herself with onions and I’d be salivating…. The taste as well is rank , no matter what sort of liver … then again can’t stomach venison . Goes to ferrets and dog lol .

Cheese is better kept in a dish or brought out of the fridge in plenty of time to gain room temp or at least not cold,

Most foods are.....cheese, tomatoes, strawberries, Guinness.......room temperature allows the true flavour to be appreciated.......

It's the texture of liver and other offal thats the problem, no grain to the meat. Love black pudding and sausages and I don't care if they are made from ass holes and eyeballs as long as the taste good.

Looks great, Arry, but you know what, my old man at 82 years old still makes loads of meals like that, and he'll TELL US, 'food's ready, and it don't need no f****n sauce!!'

Lol 👍

Love HP on Chips and on Mash and things like a full English and Cottage pie. But if it's Fish and Chips I like a bit of tomato sauce Mate.

Cheers Arry
