2017 over 50k excess deaths due to winter flu

They say that year the vaccine did not work ?

WHAT WAS CLAIMED

The flu killed 64,000 people in 2018.

OUR VERDICT

Incorrect. 64,000 people died in January 2018 in England and Wales of all causes. Public Health England estimates that across the 2017/18 flu season there were around 22,000 deaths associated with flu in England.

Wrong again max ..

Again I have. It's been contradicted by Public Health England.

Where did you get your figure so I can read that source?

Please and thank you.

I suppose with all this you can read into the figures as you like depending where you get them from

Absolutely. Which is why I'm asking you to post where you get your figures from to compare them to where I've gotten mine.

Just browsing online as everyone else does or reading news articles online ect ?

I understand that completely.

Which site? For my reference?

I'll raise you a CDC link for your reference. That was the US Flu burden for the same year. They attributed 61,000 deaths to it, in a country that has 5 times the population. This is why I'm genuinely curious as what the f*ck happened in England and has absolutely nothing to do with a side argument I have, with another individual on the dangers of socialised medicine... :whistling:

The relevance is why has the world never stopped for much bigger killers of people ?????????

Fannies ?o here scared to breath when it’s something that MIGHT just effect them if they very very unlucky .

As someone said still only 20th on the list of killers .

I'm not sure if your saying I'm a fanny?

I've not insulted you once, so no idea why you would.

Kids starving ain't the same as a contagious disease which has spread around the world..

Whether there has been a over reaction or not, again I have no idea, it hasn't overly affected me I've worked everyday since it first came out.

It is now starting to affect my kids, their schooling aint what it should be and they are missing the normal life... there are people far worse than us though but I can only speak for what I see.

No relevance to vaccine but a massive relevance to the panic hysteria of the virus

how many young die each year from starvation but we don’t tackle that the same or give it the same media coverage

Really???

Weve had starving kids in Africa on our screens ever since Sir Bob went on his save the world adventure, there are countless adverts about the problems around the world, charities galore and billions of foreign aid thrown at the problem.... so I'd say this has had a fair lump of coverage over the years.

The virus is new, less than a year old in the Western world and the early days in Italy and Spain looked a bit desperate...has it panned out to be the killer virus we all first thought, probably not, has the restrictions helped...who knows.... Will it gave affects in the future on those who gave had it...who knows... loads of guessing and a dollop of hysteria thrown in!! Lol

If it’s only now starting to effect your kids Youv done well

Many were effected very soon into the first lockdown for various reasons ?

Like I say, we are a lot lucky than some, we live in a very rural area, we aren't skint, the kids enjoy being with us and we aren't draconian in our parenting, so its been shit but not desperate...

I won't pretend any different, id love to go back to this time last year as much as anyone, but I'm in the same boat as everyone else...just making the best of it mate...

So am I fanny??? Lol

Once again billions of foreign aid ain’t throw at the problem

Its given to warlords or corrupt officials ?

Those that need it very rarely benefit ?

You can't say for nigh on 40 years its had hardly any media coverage though...

Regardless of what happens with it, billions is thrown at it...not just Africa either, can't be asked to look it up but I'm pretty sure we're near the top for contributing world wide to Aid organisations..

I don't understand the paradox of people saying the government is lying.......then using government produced figures to back up their claims ?

Cheers.

Bingo!

It's as and when it suits some folks.
