Does anyone know why some dogs come out brindle in a litter and some are a solid colour?

Mine was out of a litter of solid sand and brindle colours, I have seen similar colours in a litter and then just one white dog!

Has anyone seen any unexpected coats in a litter over the years?

Some great looking dogs out there!

👍

Bottom dog looks a strong un 👍

He be two this month and doing very well so far apart from banging up his toe on Thursday night so having to rest him up at the minute but doing all that’s asked of him so far. Hopefully he carries on, can’t moan, my first two dogs and both made good dogs and keep me happy but they get the time and effort put into them. Atb Igz

How is that dark dog bred mate?

Dam Wheaton bull grey, sire saluki bull grey. Young starter aswel had him out on daytime mooches since 4 months old and by time he got to 9 months he self entered out on a walk one day by himself and not really looked back. Had done a few bits of everything by 12 months so happy with him so far Atb Igz

Mate of mine had a litter recently which consisted of some white ones, black and white, light brown brindle, dark brown brindle and a blue bitch. Both sire and dam are both black and white
