Greyman 31,661
I quite like the old fashioned way, you reverse the pull on the turfer to get them out the water, a couple of metal beams turfers and pulleys

Because it’s my home first and I don’t need a massive range I will still have several 100 miles to travel if and when I want, plus I fancy something that can nip across the channel if a time comes when the canals of Europe call

If it’s going into a marina they will have lifting facilities so no need for crane your end .We brought a 40 ft container from Leeds to Swindon which cost £3.200 all in .Container was 2.5 g cheaper in Leeds and much better spec . We send a lot of 12ft wide loads to mainland UK and none have ever needed an escort.
Greyman 31,661
Thank you for all the advice, just come home from my warehouse and popped into the new kings yard that’s just opened next door, showed them the boat gave the dimensions and weight and was given a price of less than a grand happy days for a 260 mile round trip no escort required, in fact the biggest sticking point was the height of it

NEWKID 28,636
Great stuff mate, I found Kings to be excellent when we dealt with them. You could get a contract lift both ends with a mobile crane for around 600 each lift. I reckon you'd need a 50t crane for that, plus a spreader mate... if you use a contract lift the crane company will cover all insurance, lift plan etc.. worth the extra few quid in case anything goes wrong..
