Dog DNA test.

Recommended Posts

Was reading an article on this, they claim that they can tell what's in your dogs breeding if you didnt/weren't sure.

What do you all think. Can it be proven with this DNA test, or is this a way to get money out of gullible dog owners

Don't the pedigree whippet racing club DNA test any whippet suspected of having greyhound blood in it ? Ive no faith in dog DNA testing as different company's have different methods. Some have a

We once had two gay pigeons. They were frill backs which didn't help their cause. They would hatch and rear eggs we put under them. Full on bender life partner pigeons. Think I fed em to the ferrets.

I could be wrong, but I'm sure I've read somewhere (possibly "The Wolf Within"?) that there are different types of DNA test and that some pick up different elements so, depending on the test, you only pick up on either male or female ancestors. But, as I said, I could be wrong and I could be misremembering or reading betwen the lines.

I have a sister I don’t see very often and she apparently has had her dog dna,d  not sure why or to what end ,but I could ask her if you need to know, I,m personally a little bit sceptical about some of it, seems the police can trace a criminal if he farts near the scene when they want, but get it done yourself and it’s a different story, have heard of several twins that sent off there dna and received different results and have had a few cases of what I can only describe as dishonesty, ?

Thanks for the offer of help Greyman.

No, it was just an article I read, and was curious. I believe myself that unless your there seeing the mating take place you can never be sure.

Think it’s slightly more scientific than that mate, born would probably explain it far better than me, but it’s not open up to individual interpretation it either is or is not, as far as I,m aware ?

No it's not , I seen a program about it and you get a print off of the results then an expert interprets them
