I'm 44yr old now and I've never seen or heard of a brick in distress in any body of water that needed saving.

I was born in and grew up in Reading  - I've still got a lot of family there.

 

I could spend all day telling you about how shit it is now and, how I slowly watched it decline but, to be honest, there's no point - it's like a lot of towns where the rot slowly creeps in and no one gave a f**k. 

.......... through the 80s and 90s i saw a lot of little old fashioned British shops close to be replaced by Asian and eastern European shops - try a drive along the Oxford road.

 

But it's ok - they all wanted a bit of cultural diversity

.......... only by about 50 miles but, there is a noticeable difference. 

 

I still go back to Reading to see family but, as far as I'm concerned now, the place is f****d. They can keep it.

My daughter is 14yrs old and even she's commented about the amount of people that she's met living here from the likes of Reading and London.
