No planes in the sky, no traffic on the road, no people out at all. It's weird. As we sit here there is nothing on the box worth watching so we Just sit. I can imagine it being similar back in the past. If it wasn't for electricity and us using out electric goods we would be sat here with me reading a newspaper and her doing some sort of knitting just like back in my fathers day. Getting up at dawn and going to bed at dark. I can't bring myself to playing cards or board games. Still I can get the guns out and give them a good cleaning another evening. It's certainly not healthy. I suppose many people just become conditioned to a continual state of sleep deficit and they think that that's all they need. Personally I f***ing hate feeling fatigued, never mind the health aspect. In fact when I know I'm going to have to suffer it I take Modafinil as a temporary fix with the intention of getting back into a proper sleep pattern asap. Imho medicating is a very, very bad idea.....eventually your body and brain don’t know what’s “normal” and what isn’t any more. I always believe that if you are in that sort of state that you require medication for something as normal as sleep or positive feelings then you need to closely re-examine your life and thought processes. A life style change may be what’s required. Once you start thinking about needing your sleep it's game over, your mind becomes your worst enemy. I had a few weeks holiday in March and was put on furlough for 3 weeks straight after and I had the best sleep in years for me. tatsblisters 11,069 Posted June 12, 2020 Report Share Posted June 12, 2020 Nothing has realy changed for me and the wife both of us have been working all way through this crisis the first few weeks were stressfull but that was only down to the places we work and when you realise who you work for don't give a f**k about you it makes you more hardend to not giving two feks and just getting on with life though I have seen a few around me crumbling under the pressure this pandemic to ordinary day to day life is causing. 2 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I'm not a good sleeper I prob get 4 hours on average and I'm just used to it now sadly I think it's all.the artificial light and your body not in tune with nature. Best sleeps I ever used to have was winter fishing on my boat dark at 4, eat tea and feels like dead of night by 6 o'clock so go to sleep till just before dawn, used to go home feeling like a million pounds. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
gnasher16 31,602 Posted June 12, 2020 Report Share Posted June 12, 2020 Theres been good and bad points for me probably the best thing to come out of all this is ive realised i like spending time with my wife shes actually an alright sort of bird .....normally in day to day life we dont spend more than a few hours a day together but having conversations and larking about has been great over the last few months shes taught me to swim properly...ive taught her how to play chess,we,ve spent whole days out walking the fields f****n about play fighting and all sorts we're like a couple of born again teenagers......i didnt realise just how many songs ive been singing the wrong words to for years at least 10 times shes pulled me up saying " what did you just say " 2 1 2 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Favourite was when she she dyed her hair and was doing that thing chicks do where they have it in a turban .
