Stavross 14,935
Back up feeding today and the dog walkers are driving me mad, I’ve put a sign up at the entrance to one of the the drives, for what good it will do, no doubt they’ll ignore it or kick it over, on a brighter note this weather is what I’d expect and the birds are tailing up nicely, so long may it continue, my feeding of next doors birds is working a treat, they are spending all day in my fields now and were enjoying the last of the sunshine this afternoon along the hedge back I’m feeding them on. I was told they had their first day yesterday, I hope it was a partridge day because their pheasants are not shootable yet, sadly I don’t think this would bother their keeper, I’ll be changing the weekend feed day from Sunday to Saturday because the majority of their days are on Saturday so I’m sure at some point I’ll catch them where they are not meant to be 6 Quote Link to post
Baldcoot 2,352
We have a not so subtle sign for them " Private keep out shooting in progress " . Touch wood no 1 has ignored it yet. Quote Link to post

Dervburner 2,549
I’ve been under the impression that dog walkers can’t read and as a result, always get lost on what they thought was a public footpath? 1 Quote Link to post
FOXHUNTER 5,021
Out with Bert this morning for an hour , still a bit warm and place very quiet . Only saw 3 pheasants but luckily Bert flushed this one in range 7 Quote Link to post

FOXHUNTER 5,021
Well there is no meat in the freezer for Bert and I don't want him going hungry so popped out for some bunnies even though it's a full moon as when I left it was covered by cloud and it looked ok. On arrival at the ground the bloody clouds disappeared, the moon came out and it was like daylight with not a breath of wind. Not many rabbits about , no wonder anyway plodded on and couldn't believe I ended up with 10. Bert wont go hungry tomorrow 6 Quote Link to post
