Smart looking animal, you seem pleased with him. What’s in his make up ?

when you get a good coursing dog you have got a good all rounder my old dog would take any thing and i mean any thing teeth the lot and he would run day and night and run all night and day i ran this dog from 10 mouth old 3 4 5 times a week and that was week in week out i have pups off this dog and he has passed on his good jeans to his off spring so a who would not wont to put speed staying power brain in to there breed

Davo that's dog  is a credit to you but how many really have that amount of gear to go at were they need to add a dog that can run day and night 4/5 a week unless on big arable  your average fit lurcher can do what most lads need and  without the stress the saluki brings

What stress does Saluki bring?

My dog has 1/4 saluki in him and I would say that’s enough for me. About an 1/8 collie and the rest grew. He has been easy to train and is clever. His recall is really good and he’s back as soon as the lamps off. Hunts well and uses his nose.

I havnt seemed to bond with him as well as other dogs......maybe because he spends most his time sulking!! Or maybe it’s just me!

I owned a few coursing dogs pre ban and sold a few for good money, £1000, £2000 and the best little cnut for £5000 but i wouldn't have one of them back for free for what I do these days. You can't beat the well bred one's for what they are bred for but just a bit or none in a dog for me these days.

The sulking/ recall /dog aggression/ nervousness don't get me wrong a good one is a pleasure to watch but like a collie saturated dog they only suit a certain owner with a certain mindset and understanding of there ways
