I've seen a few adult shepherds kept in yards with nothing to stimulate them totally crazy where a bull or bandog would still just be laying around on guard.

dont know about grabbing any dog around the head as you say , so maybe your right. But i do know about pain once a dog grabbed you, my younger brother got bitten in the hand by our Dalmatian  we had when we teens. this dog was nasty twat and latch out at you, got me brother in the hand, went up hospital stitches . now i asked my brother what the pain was like, he said like having your hand slammed between a door, very painful, and my brother no wimp, he was mad fecker playing football even up to his 40s lol , so take tough person to handle pain i tell you. i did read in R .Stratton  books on bulldogs = apbt , that a well bred pit would  bite/shake  , and do massive damage if they attack/bite , and i know where he coming from , our  old line staffs were like   few pits today, and i know what they can do when they kick off , they take some bloody stopping, so if can stop and kill dogs like these, fair play to mate , rather you than me   Lol

which is were most a these pp dog scenarios come from 

lads on here never had to get a dog of another 

one solid boot or crack job done and when you do give them one they in no rush for another believe 

same as when that grabbed your brother how he get it off

Im not saying you can walk in a yard and beat the dog you’d come off bad but if you get the dog we’re it’s mouths occupied it’s easy to ko or wind and I mean real easy even with a sleeve loads on here have them let’s hear some truth when that dog gets your sleeve how easy once it’s back legs off the floor is it to pin a dog uses it’s mouth and back legs together get it on it’s back easy from there

It may well happen in a life or death situation or a situation put up on you but nobody in their right mind would knowingly try that out just to rob a garden shed.
