My acd x greyhound pup out of two 1st crosses. 15 weeks old this coming Thursday. Looking forward too seing how this one turns out.  Atb Adam

Sensible advice I would also add,..that just because a Cattle Dog shows an inbred ability to herd large dangerous beasts in its native environment,..it does not equate to the catching and killing

Best of luck on your exciting new journey,...it will be emotional at times,...but rewarding, so have fun,...all the best, Phil.?

A first cross back to a first cross will it be heavier built than straight acd x greyhound

When breeding two f1 crosses it Could go either way , very greyhoundy or very cattle dogish

Bloody good dogs from what i know, had a half x and she was all i ever wanted in a running dog but lost her at 11 months old but she'd taken a good bit of game in her short life, her brother was the best ferreting dog iv'e ever seen work and i know a few with them and they do all that's asked and a bit more. Not a dog for the novice and some will proper look after you if bother finds you out in the field,if the genuine acd's then go for it but don't expect to walk it and then lock it away in a run for the rest of the day as that's when your troubles will start..

Ive never used one I think some can look quite smart though I see a picture of a nice one yesterday on a group I really liked the look of it but I’d never own one in f1 it’d drive me round the bend I recon I couldn’t imagine them being that fast though I don’t think my land would suit this cross one bit An I don’t think I’d suit the cross although liking a bit of herding dog in the mix some people have said they have the potential to be quite vocal as well I can see why with the cattle dog in the mix bet if I had one on my ground it’d sing it’s head off on the lamp when the going got tough wouldn’t be my first choice if I wanted a herding x Lurchers
