Best looking Breed?

Recommended Posts

Difficult to separate from work entirely. I just don't think I've ever found a non working blooded dog a better looking animal than a worker. Form seems to follow function in my mind.

A fawn smooth hard muscled lurcher can look incredible. So can a well built wire coated fell type or a houndy looking cocker.

i ll always have a soft spot for horrid , rangy , fly old farm collies.  Probsbly the greatest canine connection we have

Well in a way most breeds worked at some point even though most now only parade around the show ring, i agree though most working breeds that are in condition look well with it.

Them akitas and type dogs just look like the ones in cages in a Korean Market, sunday roast, pig ugly mutts! Proper working English pointer, greyhound, look fit for purpose!

That's incorrect, the Bull Terrier has the most piggy eyes IMO.

The best I've seen were rough.

I don't know what i prefer, i think these modern over bully looking types can look over the top. Our old dog is a picture perfect Patterdale IMO. Proper old Nuttall type.

I agree, can't beat a 'Terrier looking' type, at the end of the day that's how they should look.

I've come to love this little twat.

She's got bags of character, gets her arse kicked by cats, eats dead frogs, hates old people and, insists on laying near my daughter when she's not feeling well.

We think she's quarter Jack Russell, 3/4 Chihuahua.

She's not everyone's taste but, she'll do for me
