walshie 2,804
Judges have overturned the decision to release John Warboys and the head of the parole board who thought releasing a serial rapist was a good idea has resigned. First bit of common sense I've read for a while. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/03/28/parole-board-chairman-nick-hardwick-forced-resign-high-court/
sussex 5,803
At last , a common sense decision. The head of the parole board has rightly handed in his resignation, shame he didn’t do it before causing all this grief to the victims ...
trigger2 3,328
They should never have considered releasing him in the first place.

Similar to Worboys case with 8 other rapes and 4 attempted rapes left on file ffs . https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.sunderlandecho.com/news/he-has-killed-my-life-says-rape-victim-who-fears-release-of-serial-attacker-1-9020706/amp Edited March 28, 2018 by MickC Sp
WILF 50,599
Too right, let the dirty c**t rot......now, I wonder if they will do the same to the rape gangs?
THE STIFFMEISTER 17,317
In no way shape or form am I condoning anything they have done, rape is a vile crime and has no place in the modern world , but 25 years for rape sounds about right . Not when jamie buglers killers got ten , and only did 15 due to public outcry
KES2 171
Sentencing guidelines seem to be based on current prison population. Those guilty of multiple rapes over a long period, as here, should be released when they are 80, after a review at 70, this would then act as a deterrent. Murderers should be released the day after tomorrow. Those guilty in the Bradford/Telford/Rotheram paedophile cases should also never be released. Nothing which can be done to them, is as bad as the agony they have put many, many vulnerable young girls through, its an old phrase but the punishment should fit the crime they committed. Greyman 32,039
I, d personally like to kill anyone that fucks about with kids or women, but I,m not allowed,so back to the problem, the warboys case was caused by the original police investigation and not the parole board the fact he raped between 70 to 100 women at a conservative estimation and was only charged with one count of rape is an insult to all his victims and a cost cutting exercise by the law, when someone charged with one count of rape comes up after 10 years inside for parole they will normally get it but if he was charged with 50 cases he would have not been considered or could have been given 50 consecutive sentences ensuring he never got out, so although the right outcome has been reached its been reached in the wrong way, as we have just given the green light to over ride anyone's prison sentence without following correct procedure, another small step toward a police state while everyone is celebrating the demise of warboys, good work
