Left overs

The daughter has buggered off out with her mates. So I'm just mooching around the kitchen and decided to cook a crab for a starter and warm up the remaining duck breast in the pig gravy with veggies and spuds ? wack on Predator, open a bottle of something and kick back.

What's everyone else doing with their left overs?

Just cooked joint of beef ,more roasties,carrots ,cabbage ,yorkshires,

topped it off with left over turkey.

Tomorrow might have left over sausage meat stuffing ,pigs in blankets with the gravy some meat an mop it up with bread n butter.

oh an there's still bit of gammon left?

I could slice left over honey glazed ham and eat on toast with mustard for days.

Xmas ham is the best part of it all.

I sat and picked the turkey clean last night for my old springer then the wife put the bowl down to the pups . but all the remains shes put in the fridge the turkey , three bird roast and all the veggys  are going to my springer tonight im all ready fed up looking at turkey

2 humans, a 2-day guest, regular visitors, 5 dogs and 5 ferrets...........not much lasts long enough to be thought of as "leftovers" in this house !

We live next door to a lovely old couple, who regularly give me left over meat, for the dogs. She gave me a turkey breast and a big bowl of lamb this morning............

..........we even clear up other people's leftovers !

Have you all got worms or something? Or maybe hollow legs? This year the girls told the Mrs that she had got to throttle it back a bit on the food side. There were fourteen in for Christmas dinner and three yesterday and there is still gammon, sausage rolls, trifle and jelly left. Whatever is left should be gone by today. This is considerably less than other years. In previous years we had three different meats, this year it was down to one. Although I have a healthy appetite, I found that I was just stuffing it in because it was there and nice rather than eating in a controlled manner. I have a weakness for bread sauce and chestnut stuffing.
