Just the Earth going through one of its phases, but we of today somehow think that we are the special ones and all that went before should not happen to us. Forecasters would have you believe this is normal and we are imagining it when we say August used to be warmer "back in the day." I just googled "Coldest August on record UK" and although there's nothing much about this year so far, apparently it was the coldest on record in 2015. They said the same in 2014, 2012 and 2010. Bit of a trend going on there. WTF has happened to global warming? Latest research says the effects of global warming will be worse than predicted - which must be bad, when they predicted that we're all going to die ! We were told a few years ago that the poles would melt due to the increase in global temperature and we would all drown etc. etc. Since then the world has been cutting it's carbon emissions to stop that and the weather has just got colder and rainer. As a layman, the logical thing to do would be to increase carbon emissions so we could have summers again. I like your logic , no wonder they made you a moderater.
