Lamping up Caithness early 90s one night in proper middle of nowhere and we were waiting for dogs to come back from a slip and it went eerily quiet,freezing fog came down from nowhere and I seen a dog trotting back down middle of road,I walked over to put lead on it and it disappeared,nothing there,I shat it and jumped back in van. Dogs all came back 30 minutes later from a different direction,couple of lads off here where with me that night.Ive never forgot that night like.Seen a few other strange things out lamping but that episode stayed with me . Scared the fecking shite out off me, he never spoke and neither did I. I was glad to get of that bit of ground and back to the road. This was when the troubles were still in full swing over here.
