This virtually the same word speak that the Boar man that I know uses..... Xyz has shot one but it's a secret and this mystery shooter has searched him out and confided in him not to let on who what and where. Abc has shot lots of them and the Boar  man has Been sworn to secrecy. I sit on the fence as to whether big cats are out there but the kind of clandestine secrecy in all of it is not helping.  Either they are out there or there not. If they are, and person A can see them or shoot them then so can persons B, C and D. People driving cars ect collide with all manner of species of birds and animals and if you planted a big cat, it would be pictured and put on Facebook or other media or the public services would be called in to deal with the consequences of vehicle accidents. There would be positively identifiable remains not something that could possibly have been something that might have been something a couple of months ago on the other hand it could have been one of Bette Lynch or CAT Slatters cast off  fake leopard fur jackets.  All it would take to end the speculation is that one cat in its fresh entirety is documented by sensible means. No one doubts the existance of all of the rest of UK  pieces because they are pictured in theìr context. Now you might retort that there are so few on the ground that they are almost invisible. But they aren't so thin on the ground that the people who do see/shoot them manage to find them and then become so shy about the fact that they hide away. But then again if they are positively identified by the authorities then your game is up and its no more the cat expert's meetings down the pub preeching about the CATs. the 243 and the 270 are waiting and so is the Nikon.

It' funny really how all these people have seen loads of them and have clear as day pics in a gallery that is exclusive to them isn' it .... what I don' get is if they have these pics and are trying to convince people why do they never show them ?

I'm still on the fence...are they quacks or lies?

I am on a sun-lounger beside a pool so I have plenty of time on my hands so no need for anyone to tell me I am a saddo or to get a life ,i have just watched Jonathan McGowan's footage where he states he has found a puma dead beside the road,a large hybrid type cat,and an eight foot long snow leopard type cat, theres no mention of these in his newspaper interviews ever?He was part of an "organisation" that was getting around 2000 reports of big cats a year, then he states only 1 in 12 sightings are reported to extrapolate this to 24000 sightings a year :icon_eek: Scottish wildcat population was down to approx 38 individuals a few years back?Yet pics were taken regularly and yes I know they are easier to find due to their range.McGowan is a self-publicist,if he isn't in newspapers chatting about eating roadkill he is doing big-cat lectures or interviews or whatever, his credibility is nil,and don't take this as a slight greyman, its nothing against you,but McGowans claims merit a big block of salt, about the size of lot's wife.

The guy at that sanctuary  told me most wildcat sightings are hybrids. Hence the wide range of catching and neutering the  feral/ hybrids they catch regularly.  He said pure scottish wildcats are out there but very rarely seen if you don't know what you  looking for or areas they frequent.  The ones in sanctuary are pure as is their offspring captive bred with very little or no human contact.  Release them from time to time but until they think they have managed to successfully neuter all they trap they will continue with the sanctuary.

They do a great job these guys and nice to see there doing there best to preserve these wildcats.

He classes himself as an expert the same as   Danny nineham but I can't find any qualifications listed and I can' see why they are advising the police and sas

This is the last time I will respond to one of your reply,s as it's very frustrating going over and over the same shite that's been written already, Danny nineham is a joke a liar and really bad news for people that are serious about the subject, he charges money for his talks and is basically a fraud, Danny nineham managed to con his way into a police helicopter back in the 80,s when the boy from trelleck had his face scratched in a big cat attack, amazingly the boy was nineham,s nephew and the police soon Sussed him and distanced themselves, he has never had dealings with the sas but as a secret unit no one can ask them to confirm, and most of his evidence has been examined and discredited, but I have gone out of my way to go and see him and come to my own conclusions, I even paid £10 to sit in the back of one of his talks which is something you are not willing to do as it's easier being obnoxious from the comfort and safety of your own home, if you could be bothered to actually take in what's written this has all been said on this thread already, and before you ask I have zero qualifications to qualify me and I would never consider myself an expert, it's something I enjoy, it costs me money and I,ve never earned a penny from it before you start going down those routes, i,ve looked for qualifications in being a knob head and a twat but I can't find any, does not mean you don't qualify as the best I've ever encountered, it just show,s you don't have to have a certificate to be the best in your chosen field do you?? A natural aptitude will do, thank you and goodnight

Someone made the best point earlier that will surely have no comeback. Those people who are shouting the loudest and are insisting that they are for real, trying to convince us to believe would break their necks to prove to us non-believers. So why do we always get the same answer when we ask to put up? "I don't want the agro."  "We don't want people finding out" Well of course you want us to find out or else you wouldn't be telling us!

93 pages with no defintate proof goes along way to telling me what I need to know ,always have known .

Be patient mate this is just a chat room forum, I can't show you around university,s and lecture rooms or vetanary  facility's ,,if I show you a picture of a sheeps jaw, it will mean nothing, but when a scientist in a lab examines it and can confirm 100 percent that the teeth marks on it can only have been made by a large feral cat, ( there name for them) I can't ignore it,  we now have enough carcasses with the tooth pits in to get the papers drawn up, this is as accurate as fingerprints and the papers are being drawn up as we speak, if I stick a picture of a leopards footprint on here that was taken in England in the last six months as I have done, know one explains how it got here to me, just ignore it and carry on saying I,m wrong, which means I have either made the footprint myself or taken it from a zoo, neither of which I,m interested in doing, so how can I show a picture of a leopards footprint if a leopard never walked on the ground ?? I do think you are a genuine person involved in country sports,  so I think you will see one yourself if you carry on especially as the gear gets better, I was 52 when I had my first glimpse of a cat in the uk after over 30 years of lamping, night fishing and just being out there, so as I said at the start just be patient keep an open mind and if you don't get to see one in the next year or two don't worry as I would have all the evidence you need

Tooth pit analysis is 100% accurate????

After you told me about this line of research I looked it up myself and the paper I read was all about the error in tooth pit analysis and it wasn't 100% or on the level of fingerprint accuracy. I'd appreciate if you could inform us when that paper is published please.
