I'm Taking Up Dominoes

Recommended Posts

I've been very good going to the gym recently. I haven't been overdoing it, but I've been 3 times a week without fail to get my bikini body ready for the Summer. 3 weeks ago I managed to damage the ligament in my knee and it hurts like hell. Anyhow, it's just a matter of time till it gets better apparently but till then I'm using a stick to walk.

Sunday night I took the dog out for his nightly jog beside the quad and 5 minutes into it, managed to roll the quad onto it's side hurling me up the road. I thought I'd sprained my wrist a bit but yesterday morning it was 3 times it's normal size.

The mrs drove me to A&E for them to look at it. The doctor started at my elbow and worked down. Does this hurt? No. This? No. Pressed my knuckles one by one. No, no. Then looking me in the eye said "How about THIS?" as he pressed next to my thumb. As he scraped me off the ceiling he said "Thought so. That's your scafoid." 4 x-rays later and I have fractured the scafoid bone in my wrist. The only good thing about it is at least it isn't the side I hold the stick in.

This fitness and outdoor life is overrated. :D

Haha, it's easily done, my old boy rolled one on top of himself about 20 years ago and his back still isn't right.

That's the kind of support and encouragement he needs ! (And probably what he expected from us !) ;)

How's the quad ? I'd give up riding it far to dangerous for old people ..can it be bought worth the chips given it's a wreck ..oh get well soon .

Funnily enough that's exactly what my son asked. It's fine. it just rolled onto it's side resting on the wheels. Only took a quick shove to right it again.
