I'm all for arming correctly trained police officers if it means the terror threat to our cities is dramatically reduced and if a lone wolf or organised attack happens it can be stopped quickly ... I

The government must surely be rubbing it's hands after every terror attack when the public clamour for everything from armed police to total surveillance of the public.   You could be forgiven for t

Why should them b*****ds in parliment have better protection than us "ordinary" people, its them and their ilk who have brought us to where we are now, if people are going to die in terrorist attacks

I think they should be armed. Theres enough criminals using wepons and they need to be able to defend their selves and protect others. Especially with the new threat of terrorism. The old Bobby with a truncheon belongs in the olden days.

If someone is not known, talkative, a loner or is just one of the smart ones, then they will fly under the Security Service’s Raider. That is not to say that the ball is not dropped as the Americans say every now and then.

If we arm all of our police, then they who want to make us their slaves have wone half the battle.

All the best

As someone pointed out in another thread, we can't just give guns to existing coppers as half of them are the last people I would want to see in charge of a firearm. However, taking on new coppers who are suitable and training them adequately from day one is almost inevitable.

Was totally against it in past. Now im all for it. Seems any wannabe terrorist is going to attack anybody and anywhere.

They know they can cause a lot of injuries and death by the time they are stopped. all very well arming cops in certain areas around high risk areas, but these c**ts will just go outwith these heavily guarded areas.

its not an attack on democracy as politicians like to claim. Imo its all about taking as many lifes as possible .These scum dont really care about the politics in spite of what they claim. Its noteriety and twisted religion

You'd think outside parliament they would be as a matter of course.

They had armed officers there which is why he was killed so fast?

The policeman killed wasn't armed though. He had to wait for backup, which can be too long when you're being knifed by a deranged wog. I'm sure if he had his own gun he'd be alive now.
