Accip74 7,112
Let's be honest all films that were classed as shocking back in the day are massively underwhelming when watched nowadays. Most of them but I think the exorcist still holds its own...watched that for the first time when I was 13...shit me up big time Theirs a few deleted scenes loitering on the internet, 1 that sticks out is Reagan in the upside down crab position coming backwards down the stairs, then just saying hello, very weird. Theirs also a new documentary not long out on the priest the film is meant to be based upon, a real life exorcist. I thought that scene was in the original? It freaked me out rotten the first time I saw it and that was with plenty of anticipation. I can't imagine what it would have been like for a young kid watching it back in the early 70's. Very skilfully put together film.......less is more

A lot of people to do with making the film died soon after apparently.....

I cant seem to finish Eyes Wide Shut, but I do think his art is imitating life very strongly. I wished id of made a nuisance of myself as he lived not far from me, still intrigued. Silversnake 1,099
I watched it and I think it was a poor attempt at trying to make shocking violence arty farty. It has been awhile since I saw it but I vaguely remember the gang leader being recruited by some government agent in the end. I found that a bit weird...
DogMan85 722
I'm looking forward to the new Alien film, I can't make out if it's a reboot of the original or following on from Prometheus which is the best of the bunch imo.

I got my lad into the Alien films last year. I started watching Alien and said 'Give It 10 Minutes...' He huffed a bit and 10 mins later he's hooked. I bought the box set, and Prometheus, and now I have to take him on opening night when it's released here in Utah... Alien:Covenant is the sequel to Prometheus. It's the second of three prequels, penned in, to the original Alien.
stealthy1 3,964
Utter crap, they had to ban it for 40 years just to give it some mystique, lads running round in they're Y fronts. The acid years.
