Lab 10,979
Should be treated like any other thieves. To me there's a difference between poaching a bird or two for the pot and taking 100. Exactly...and if you can't tell the difference between that f**k off out the hunting community.

ryaldinhio 5,188
And they rammed his car, fired shot at him (whether it be gun or catty) and disspaeared then found with 100 birds in boot? Want stringing up not locking up. Set of cnuts.

stealthy1 3,964
How many would they have taken if not disturbed or have stolen from other places? Chances are that they have been before and taken such a large number of birds that it became noticeable by the game keeper.
Lab 10,979
With some of the replies I'd like to know when it becomes 'acceptable' to steal game birds? Obviously some think it's ok to steal them when they are released to wood but is it ok to come on to a game farm and steal them at a few weeks old. Genuine question.

It's perfectly acceptable to nick someone else's property as long as you call it "poaching" because that makes it sound all nostalgic and romantic rather than common theft. Also if the person who your stealing off wears tweed or drives a fancy car it's equally ok to steal of them.
dark-destroyer-85 636
So should you go to jail if caught poaching rabbits or deer on someone else's land also or even hares ? Edited January 7, 2017 by dark-destroyer-
ArchieHood 3,692
So should you go to jail if caught poaching rabbits or deer on someone else's land also or even hares ? No........You should be publicly hung at annual game fairs.....Oh hang on that's against the law....Never mind Hey Ho.........
pesky1972 5,651
So should you go to jail if caught poaching rabbits or deer on someone else's land also or even hares ?Surely you see a difference between lamping a few wild rabbits off a man's land without permission, to mopping up with catapults 100 roosting pheasants that a man has bought, fed & reared!
Lab 10,979
So should you go to jail if caught poaching rabbits or deer on someone else's land also or even hares ? Completely different. Since when did someone fork out thousands of pounds to buy rabbits, deer or hares?? Although you may get some arguments from the stalkers as some work effort and some money does go into that side of things.
marshman 7,758
Hung for a sheep as well as a lamb as the old saying goes . You get nicked for taking a couple of rabbits lamping or a hundred , same with anything if your not where your supposed to be taking anything it's against the law 2 or 100 makes no difference only to the person taking them or them taken from They got caught no whinging they get on with it ?
