I used to love going to them when I worked for a certain company a few years back. Everything was laid on, including transport home. My last company used to expect you to pay for your own drinks then the last year I was there they expected you to pay for everything yourself. If I'm going to fork out money on a meal and a drink, I'm going to do it with friends of my choice, not a load of people I work with every day. My mrs used to call me miserable, anti-social, etc etc. She has just been invited to her firm's Xmas do. She said she was going to go, then she found out they have to pay. Her words were (and I quote) "I'm not paying to sit with a load of c**ts i can't stand anyway." Now who's the miserable one? Quote Link to post Share on other sites
