Keeping Thives Out Of Your Garden !

Recommended Posts

I think houses surrounded in barb wire just look like houses with something to nick.

Keep fences new and in good order. A couple of CCTV cameras, white so they can be seen. A security light. Sheds and out buildings can be protected with a cheap alarm system, the type that pulls a wire out when you open a door

Carpet gripper rod nailed along the top of my fence, on the inside, out of sight, and a PIR spotlight. I've also got 5 dogs that raise merry hell, if a mouse farts at the other end of the street !

A big nasty ugly dog should do the trick.   They nothing but scum bags hope you get it sorted asap

ive a good few traps set in my garden as ive expensive birds of prey ive also got 24 hour cctv which i can watch on my phone when im not at home,i was warned off the police when some one was injured t

I'd agree with having a dog loose in the garden as this is enough to put most off.

I'd also agree with the pyracanthus. The chap who owned my house before we moved in had problems from people using his garden as a thoroughfare so put a hedge of it in at the back and it stopped them immediately. After I moved in I trimmed it back while wearing a barbour...when I removed the barbour my arms were covered in blood...it's evil stuff.

Failing that...in my first house my neighbour's son broke into my garden a few times to let my ferrets out (the first time it happened I came home from work to find one of them asleep in the kennel with Rusty). I smeared dog poo over the trellis...he never came in again!

I hasten to add that I did clean it up after! :icon_redface:

That reminds me...a school I worked in once was suffering vandalism so the caretaker set up a few cameras and caught one of the year 5 boys climbing on the roof and cr*pp*ng over the side down a trellis! I work in a nice school now though.
