Blackdog92 2,047
Could anyone enlighten me on why dogs love rolling in the stuff. The place ive been working for the last couple days is in short over run with badgers, and what a state my dogs were in by the end of the day. Out of the 6 dogs i had with me only one didnt roll in it the rest were head to toe in the stuff and my van stunk on the hour and a half journey home.

walshie 2,804
No idea why they do it. Both mine do, but the pup does it more. He picks it up, eats some, throws the rest in the air and when it lands, he rolls in it. Dirty b*****d. Could be worse, a ridgeback I had a few years ago found some human shit to do it in. Dont get me started on crag rat shit. It makes walling on the fell a dangerous job every stone you pick up your hoping there isnt a pile underneith it. The dogs roll in that as well. scothunter 12,609
Its a throwback to wolfs who do it to mask their scent. Fuckig pain when your dog is prone to do it!
kanny 21,755
One of the few things I don't miss about not owning a dog... Don't think I've ever had a dog yet that hasn't done it... Grrrrr!
