tillylamp 1,816 Posted August 2, 2016 Report Share Posted August 2, 2016 just watched a program called...real life hulk, from Brazil, this guy injected himself with mineral oil straight into the muscles, to give him a body building look, after a while he noticed that he was easily fatigued and was constantly throwing up. That led him to seek help from his doctor who then sent him to two specialists, one a plastic surgeon and the other also a plastic surgeon but was specializing in this problem of oil injections. He almost lost his marriage and his wife repeatedly asked him to stop injecting but once she told him she was pregnant he promised to stop. He soon started to regret doing it, so he went to the hospital to see if he had done any serious damage to himself, as he heard you can have your arms amputated if you get a infected muscle, after the MRI scan, it showed he had only 10% of real muscle under the 90% of oil, but the surgeon said, even though his blood work came back clear his arms were a ticking time bomb. Should he get any inflammation it would cause an infection which would never heel and the surgeon would have to remove the 90% of oil infested muscle leaving him with only 10%. His concern of amputation was unfounded in his case but the likelihood of surgery was a dead cert. there were two others that had been injecting themselves, one was given the all clear, but the other one wasn't that lucky, his skin burst letting the oil and puss ooze out, he had to have emergency surgery to his neck muscle by cutting the infected area away, and whilst he was talking to the surgeon, his arm started to leak from an ulcerated section of his arm....
