Labour will never solve getting the long term unemployed off the ham role and young people off benefits.......no party will all the time they persue a policy of raping everybody for as much tax as possible (both actual and stealth )

There's just no point in going to work for some folks, your average bloke needs at least 7 or 8 hundred quid a week to just survive what with the cost of housing, motoring etc.......there's just not enough hours in the week to earn that money if your not the brightest in class by the time they take your tax and NI out if it.

You would, I would think, actually end up with more in your pocket on the dole........why spend your life working to pay some other c**t?........almost everyone has the common sense to realise that's a mugs game.

OK....why is immigration good for the UK.....From where I'm sitting the only people who welcome it with open arms are either ethnics that hate the British way of life....OR owners of big business that

No party that supports mass unchecked, uncontrolled immigration can claim to be the party of the working man, regardless of all their claims. The people most affected negatively and the biggest lose

Imagine that turn out!!.......   "Oh Jezza oppress me you whitey pig"   "Oh Di, my trident is armed and it's about to go off like Joseph Staling in a room full of political prisoners"   "Jezza,

So you introduce a real living wage and start massive house building projects to bring house prices down ;) Motoring and the costs involved is another issue that needs serious looking at IMO, with the costs of tax MOT and insurance I've seriously no idea how any young ones can afford to get themselves on the road which in turn limits their employment opportunities greatly.

No disagreement at all that you need to make work actually pay if you want folk off benefits and putting in graft, just another area we're in agreement on the issues just take different directions looking for the solutions

This is interesting, so far Corbyn has been nominated by far more constituencies in the North and other traditional working class areas while Smith's support is concentrated in London, exactly the opposite of how it should be according to the narrative of Corbyn only appealing to metropolitan middle class types put out by the press and PLP :hmm:

thats amazing all that green in yorkshire WOW dont think geography,s your strong point :D

The constituencies in Yorkshire haven't nominated anyone yet that's why they're not green or pink so I'm not sure what point you're trying to make  we'll have to wait and see who they nominate.

you said corbyns done well in the north .north of where,????????out of 1.2 million people 3 thousand at best went to watch him,its that old saying tell a lie long enough and people believe

I didn't realise the North only consisted of Yorkshire

He's been nominated in more Northern and traditonally working class constituencies than Smith who's support is centred in London, that's what I said and that's what the map shows

More green than pink though isn't there? So I'd be right saying he's doing better than Smith in the North, no?

And since I posted that map he's been nominated in even more Northern constituencies with plenty left to nominate ;)

The last people who I want to see in power would be a socialist government. That said, the best opposition for any other party would be the socialists. To be fair there is not much choice between the rest, new labour = back door Tories. Ukip the same, and the Tories are well the Tories and do not pretend to be anything else.

A strong social opposition can keep any of the far right in check, keep things on a more level playing field, where some others in society get a chance of bettering themselves, or not being penalised for being poor.

As always just my opinion.

Good post pal

At the end of the day having an opposition that actually opposes the Government's policy and offers real alternatives is good for our democracy even if you wouldn't necessarily want to see them in power. Widening the debate in parliament can only be a good thing IMO wherever on the political spectrum you are.
