Bird Catcher 95 Posted Tuesday at 11:51 Report Share Posted Tuesday at 11:51 Personally I like to do them in 1/2 scrumpy cider and 1/2 chicken stock, I brown off the rabbit joints first (seasoned flour) in butter , then add a good amount of fatty bacon, leeks, carrots , parsnips and a good couple of onions. I chucks in whole peeled potatoes and slow cooks it for 5 hours. About an hour before the end I puts in the left over seasoned flour to help thicken it. The spuds start to break down and soak in the juice ! Bloody dribbling now writing this. Oh forgot to say I puts in some Thyme either dried or fresh , whatever i got at the beginning. Try it !
