Recommended Posts

A mate of mine , he's on here actually , anyway goes around he's birds place theyre both in the kitchen and he puts the pup in the back garden while they have a brew . He hears the pup scream so he runs out just in time to see a fox making of with he's pup in its mouth . He hollers and shouts and the fox drops it as its trying to get under a fence . Dog never turned out any good lol

Premature April fools surely .Strange aint it that a fox will bolt freely from a 2 lb ferret but will tackle a yappy dog .Juries out for me as every single fox ive ever encountered has been bested by a black dog .

sure a pissed off ferret is scarier to most canines than a gassy little spoilt chihuahua

the dog would stand no chance, against a fox, bloody hell there only as big as rabbit, fox would kill it easy, bloody hell some 60lb lurchers wont mix it with a fox, so a little 7lb dog got no chance.

this is true but ya dont see the lurcher high tailing it across the paddock with the fox hot on its heels. I dont doubt a big fox could kill a small dog but i doubt they would try in the first place.

It's all about survival, and nowadays some foxes wouldn't have fear of humans, etc, and maybe if the weren't hunted the be green to other things. Some Fox would try and kill a dog to ground, or be giving more than it taking, some, not all, yes we've all seen them bolt one way or another, even of the dog going in or the smell of the feret going down, all foxes are different, the a wild or urban, or mixed animal

well if its any help heres another dog taken by a fox.MY ssisters tea cup yorkie was in the garden a few years back,my sister standing at her kitchen window, fox rushed in from field on the side of the house, snaffled the dog and high tailed it................and thats 100% gospel..cause i saw my sister cry her eyes out over her,,,,and this fox was a regular visitor to the area, they never fed it (not counting the yorkie) but it was a daring b***%*d,afraid of very little.I offered to murder it a few times and no way on earth was the idea even entertained,,might upset my nieces lol....strange how things turn about

Well the man wouldnt be a bullshitter his ducks are white and none are missing and his wife seen fox leaving stables with something black in its mouth and no sign of the dog since so its evidence enough for me but id imagine it was a hungry fox that was injured in someway and was struggling to feed itself so it took advantage when it seen a handy meal.

Would a lap dog standing barking at a fox ? Would it have the chance if the fox stalked or ambushed it ?

Does a fox drop a rabbit or a leveret when it catches one because it's screaming ?

No to all the above.

I find it strange but believable when I hear of foxes biting people. IMO 9 out of 10 of the times it's because the fox has got too close but ended up feeling vulnerable so protected itself. I know what it's like to have my hand (and foot) in the mouth of a fox who felt threatened.

Do I believe a hunting fox would take a small prey item that offered absolutely no risk of defence out of a garden, damn right he would.

I found a dead 3/4 grown cat last week and IMO it was killed by a fox.
