What you guys prefer for bedding hay or shredded paper

I'd use straw make sure it's changed regular . And dosent get wet . Hay gets full of ticks .

Hay sweats to much . Good wheat straw, but give it a dust with flea/tick powder.

Mines on Hay, it doesnt get damp like paper, i,v had no ticks & no itching, but i do put a drop of oil in their feed every day to stop their coats drying out.

I would say there was something wrong with the dogs so.

I've used wheaten straw and nothing else from day one with no problems, and that's for several breeds.

Hay is for feeding to horses and barley straw is a NO NO too.

I would avoid hay as member before says ticks etc can live in hay , straw be better choice but I had a dog develop a infection in it nails due to living on straw even though being changed steady . Good memory foam mat in waterproof cover had to beat in my mind .
