My great grandparents lived in a Vado however !! Lol My mother used to do her bollocks as my old man would take me down the market and all the boys in the stalls used to give me fruit and I would come home smothered in juice !! My old mans pals would come round and take me out up the west end if they had had a bit of luck, all blokes who had been nothing more than street kids round South London and just used what instinct god gave them to get a few quid as they had grown into men........they thought it was great fun to have this little lad climbing out of a roller and going in all these posh gaffs for something to eat and surrounded by a load of dolly birds! "He will be alright with us, we will take care of him" they used to say to my mother........she used to look a bit concerned but I think she was a bit nieve and didn't fully realise who these characters were !! Lol All the places you lads have spoken about bought back a lot of memories Edited October 23, 2015 by WILF
johnny boy68 11,726
I wouldn't think twice about trying food from different areas, it's all part of the experience imo. I'm a big fan of Scottish food, just experienced potted meat last time I was up there.
