Well, Its Not Our Fault!

Maybe the oppressive wankers should concern themselves a little more with all the assault rifles and submachine guns being imported by criminal gangs than our legally held guns!

By all means ensure proper licensing procedures are being adhered to but such sensationalist headlines like "gun license easier to get than bus licence" & "UK gun laws will lead to more massacres" will only add to the hysteria and land us law abiding gun owners with more restrictions and loops to jump through.

A man stabs his wife..... "Evil man murders his wife in horrific attack!"

A man shoots his wife......"Man murders his wife with LEGALLY held gun, BAN GUNS!"

f***ing bullshit!

Look at the bloke in Glasgow who's bin lorry killed a few people. They're blaming him for giving false information to a doctor for his LGV licence medical. If the media and liberal-left public opinion dealt with this in the same way that they talk about guns, they would be calling for a ban on vehicles over 3.5 tonnes max gross weight!

A gun applicants GP should have to work with police officers who deal with issuing someone with a shotgun or firearms licence.

Anyone suffering Any mental health issues should obviously not be granted any gun licence.

If they develop any form if mental health issues whilst in the ownership of guns Legaly their GP should inform the police and said guns and licence revoked.

The same re GP and licence holders abusing Alcohol or drugs .

Anyone with a violent record should not own them .

Guns don't kill people

It's the people who hold them and everything should be done to make sure those who have them Legaly are fit to do so.

i agree maxharcore. if this had being done them 3 from the same family that were murdered in that Durham pit village may still have being here.

the Durham police made a big balls up allowing that fella his guns but they had a bad record concerning their firearms officer. look at the one that was selling guns that were to be destroyed. bent buggers i tell ya.

But then you end up with gun owners scared to seek treatment for mental health issues because they'll lose their guns. It's a real tricky issue TBH.

My mate bought 2 guns off him and the son off the shooting was only at Durham on the drink last year and head butted a lass, they don't tell you the full story of how they drove him to do it but the police should never of give him the licence back.

Any sign of mental health ' alcoholism ' or drug abuse ' violence and family should be letting GP's know that they not fit to hold a gun licence if the said licence holders would seek help.

So now they're hiding their symptoms from friends and family too in the fear they'll have their guns taken away. We need to encourage people with mental illness to seek out help not make them scared to ever mention it.

That's ignoring the dangerous precedent you set with the state encouraging family and friends to spy and report on each other

Yes if doc passes you fit so be it

Then it's on professionals heads if those passed fit go on to murder.

What Doctor would ever sign someone off to own guns again if they risked being held liable if the patient goes on to murder? They'd never take the risk, once marked as mentally unfit to own a gun that'd be it for life.
