I tried it, doesnt work...I could never make hens go to sleep either by putting their head under their wing but I hear it's possible, and my technique was flawed!!

Thats what i know as dizzying it dont put them to sleep but kind of disorientates them , never heard it used on chickens but have heard it used on quials and pigeons when teaching a pointer to come up on point then flush

Works on pheasants and partridge too, good fun putting them in vehicles at work or balancing them on fence posts ;)
