There were a few dead roach drifted into our shoreline blown by the breeze. Then I noticed an old vietnamese bloke shuffling along the bank with a blue plastic colander attached to a stick. He was scooping the dead roach out, giving them a sniff and then putting them into a white carrier bag. Thing is, where most of the dead fish had congregated it f^cking stank and he took the lot. My grandad always taught me not to pick on the roadsides but head into the fields because of fumes he was reared on the roads Aswell and still wouldn't take them from right on the verges 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Talking of elderflower,,,,,, try elderflower infused strawberry jam.... £2 a pound up in Grantham ,used to pick them years ago when they were only a £1 a pound and did ok at it and you'd be surprised at how little flowers you need for a pound and if i was closer to where you sell them i'd be doing it every year ..
