What's needed is massive allied counter insurgency operations across Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Oman, North Africa, Somalia and Nigeria together with some sort of political strategy. Otherwise it's an endless task of cutting heads of regenerating serpents, so to speak. Our forces are great at the fighting part, our politicians haven't proven so great at the strategy part.
