As said skycat a good dude wouldn't have hung about till his mate was finished with her like a predator waiting to have a go. Do you honestly think that a you girl who's just went that step too far with the drink and trying to get home from the pub leg less deserves to be walked to a safe palace and spit roasted? That she's fair game?

Convicted rapists should never be able to breath again let alone play pro football

I would say no way........but hang on!!......I just read up on the details of the case, there was also a port vale defender present in the room who also f****d her but that was fine !!!   So this bi

It doesn't matter how drunk a girl gets it shouldn't mean she is fair game for any man who fancies a quick shag ... If a girl wants to get shit faced so what that's her prerogative that doesn't give s

I haven't read all the posts so apologise if someone's already said, but he was convicted by a jury that heard all the details and they dicided he raped her, now that's good enough for me . He's a rapist untill the day he dies end of ! Now on the point of him playing football again, once a person has done their time and paid hes dept so that's it he can do what he wants work wise end of !

Wilf, girls, yes drunk girls also do go back to places with people, groups, guys on there own, two mates what ever with no intention of having sex, I don't know how you were when young but I spent a lot of time in party houses flats ect and just because you managed to talk some lass or lassies to come didn't mean that you had the right to get them drunk and all take shots of her! Do you think it's right I went to a bar, chatted up some girl and when she took me up for a drink and asked for a vody and I started buying her trebles even tho she didn't know it was trebles and knew she could only handle a certain amount, she gets pished very quickly, is it then fair of me to take her away to my house and do what I want with her? And record it?

lukey: your are right in everything you say, but it still doesn't change the fact that the girl/woman left herself open to being raped, by her own lack of awareness, brought on either by drink or just because she didn't think clearly. The scenario you made is one where a man is deliberately attempting to get a girl so drunk that she can be taken advantage of. Surely any girl with half a brain wouldn't accept that sort of drink if she wanted to remain in control and conscious of what was happening around her? Booze and drugs have always been around. I was taught as a young girl never to get drunk unless I knew the people around me very well indeed, and not to put myself in a risky position and never to go anywhere new/unknown alone ... and that was way back then when morals and mores were a lot more strict than today. IMO that is what is wrong with a lot of youngsters today: they have no set guidelines for behaviour, and they don't think about the risks.

ched was defo in the wrong and done time end ov but all this women are like snow white is bollllox, now i will tell you a story i was drinking in a flat with a pal and a bird drinking voddy we was all pissed and she was all over me i asked her to sit away from me as i didnt fancy her, her next move was to leave the flat in a huff, next thing police was at the door saying she had made a allegation of rape, i told police the facts and lucky enough a hour later she came clean and admitted she was lying so thats why im very very very carefull but it could have been a different story..

They never had camera phones when I was young !! Lol........nobody even had a phone !!

No I wouldn't have taken a liberty with an unconscious bird, no way on gods earth, but there were a few times when me and a pal had some times with a bird who was equally up for it.........who is to say that in the morning she regrets it, phones the law and all of a sudden the great and good of the world are branding us as scumbags ?? When in fact we are nothing of the sort !!

All I have said all along is that there is more than a shade of grey here and I just don't think it's right saying this dude deserves to never work again at his trade and that he should be branded as a sex case.

Repeating myself again, if he had dragged a random chick down an alley and beat her to a pulp then yeah, but that's not what happened here !!!

If you get lifted with your dog does that make you a dirty f***ing criminal who deserves to get convicted and rejected for every job interview you ever have?........by this logic, that's exactly what it means !!

Do you honestly class a conviction for working dogs the same as a conviction for raping someone ?

That what your saying !!.......your saying there are no shades of grey, you said he is a nonce (which is totally wrong as a nonce interferes with kids) "a low life nonce"..........are you a low life criminal if you get lifted with your dog.

Because in some people on this threads world, yes you are !!

The fact of the matter is he is a convicted rapist. There are no shades of grey about that fact. As we all know every action has a consequence whether we meant the action or not, the consequence he has to live with for the rest of his life is that he is a convicted rapist. You cannot say that he did not mean to do it, otherwise why would have had his mate to film it? So in my eyes it was a premeditated act, which makes it just as bad as if he had dragged a girl down an alley on impulse.

Just my take on the matter.

Edited to add, who ever filmed him should have been done for rape also.

As a Sheffield United supporter .I've read all this before. .I wasn't going to comment but here goes. .wilf and sky cat have hit the nail on the head. .double standards !! The 2 footballers were out with the intention of pulling a bird and both having sex with her..that is what happened.. and the girl knew both men were footballers and she wasn't dragged kicking and screaming to the hotel. .she went back for sex with 2 men...young people these days don't have the same " morals" as the older generations..ched is guilty of using a women for sex behind his fiancé back. .hence the fire exit was used thinking he would leave undetected..a decision he probably wouldn't have mind without being drunk etc.. no doubt ched is as thick as sh*t..and did himself no favours in his admittance in police interview and came across as a twat with his attitude of "we are footballers with loads of money" "girls throw themselves at us" etc

I don't think he raped her. .but a jury did and a convicted rapist he is unless the appeal he has launched proves successful. .opinion is divided amongst United fans. .it's a very touchy subject and one I wish would go away..

This case wouldn't be the first miscarriage of justice in this country would it?

And before anyone says it I'm not being biased because I support the club he played for at the time. .its how I see it. ..without the rape charge hanging over him he would have left us anyway like any other player with a cash value. .
