bigmac 97kt 13,836
First off we try,d to get out Friday night but the havens open,d up so it was put off until Saturday but the same then to so with his mam and dad and sisters off for the week end little hunter stayed at grandads so we could give it another go last night. So at 4pm off we went but we had to go up to the range first as i had promised ZANDY01 that i would take the tuned 97k and the tuned pro sport so he could try them out . once at the range i gave him the rifles and went to have a bit of banter with stew the owner and just left zandy to it. Once he had a play with the 97k and the famous crow sport 2 i set about setting zero on the raider and little hunter set his ultra the ultra was spot on and had held its zero from the last time we were out its fitted with panararma ev 3,9,50 ao ir he loves them but i must say i HATE THEM i think the mil-dots are to close together and they could do with being a little darker in color but that's just me my eyes are,nt that good any more lol. I then got a call off vislauk to say he was on his way to the farm so we said our goodby,s and arranged to get zandy,s 97kt tune,d and polished for him off we went we got to the farm and went with Sean (vislauk) so he could zero his rifle in an hw100s (craking rifle and a good looker to ) in 177 it took him a while to get it spot on and i even said to him your rusty because you have not been out for a while. He just smiled back at me and nodded his head now iv seen this man shoot and boy can he shoot . Now me and Sean take the mick out of each other but we never take the mick out of our shooting, 2 of the longest shots iv seen with a air rifle was by Sean. so once he was set up off we went we were walking along when a rabbit jumped out in front of us and Sean was the first with his rifle on his shoulder and let one go ......missed.....just go,s to show even the best miss . We headed to the paddocks where Sean went one way and me and little hunter went the other we then lay,d up and waited 20 mins went by and Ethan(little hunter) pointed to a kit sitting but we left it alone it hoped away and then nothing came out i then relised that the wind was on our backs so i say,d we will have to move on standing up i spotted a rabbit in the other field but it saw us to and legged it but it stopped just before it was go to jump through but i was already tracking it through the scopes and when it stopped a jsb 15,89 was all ready on its way and the unmistakable sound of the pellet hitting home and over it went. Right i say,d to Ethan next one is your,s and with that we repositioned our self's and lay waiting a little while later one hopped out and he took aim and hit it spot on it back flipped a few times and went into some nettles BIG ONES i lay there laughing watching him trying to retrieve it every time he every time he put his hand in he took it out faster than he put it in but he got it and he walked back happy with his prize in hand. we then walked back to the car where we came across the rabbit that Sean had missed so i told him to lay prone and take it out now where it was ,when you lay prone there is a little mount of grass that is risen up so it makes the shot harder to take and to be honest i thought he would miss as when i looked through me scopes all i could see was the top of its head and Ethan say,d the same so i told him to wait and see if it moved and it did just enough so you could see the kill zone. just as i was going to tell him to take the shot i heard the ultra go off and the rabbit just back flipped and fell it was only about 20 yards but it was a fecking good shot and i told him so he is only 9 years old but noes so much about shooting and hunting and shot place ment partly down to me and vislauk and some of it down to you lot and your write ups as he is always on hear reading. I took the photos back at home as i had forgot the camera i did take some on my phone but there crap. Back at the car he say,d well grandad little hunter 2 grandad 1. atvbmac  5 Quote Link to post
