Wildling 520
If it is a yes vote do you's think the labour party will be finished in england??, given the large amount of labour seats in westminster coming from scotland.. no mate in a 100 years scotland has made the difference only twice Joe, since Labour was formed, it has been voted into government five times with a majority of less than forty. Removing the Scottish vote/MPs, they would not have been able to form a majority government. If Scotland votes yes, Labour will lose 41MPs and Tories will lose one. The one good thing for me in Scotland voting yes is that Labour will probably never form a government in rUK again in my lifetime. The days of huge majorities are long gone now there are four main parties. UKIP might even end up coming out of this in a stronger position than it currently is now if Scotland votes to and does leave the Union. For me and I would say most English people we haven't got much to lose ether way really. Tbh I think that's a bit selfish, we still have our welsh, northern irish and brothers and sister around the nations and they matter to me as much as the scots I'm half northern Irish myself but still think that on the whole the Union has a majority English makeup. Or used to till the spineless people in power left the whole of the 3rd world in!

onion jonny 527
labour in scotland kicked this off when donald dewar got the scottish parliament up and running did they really think the snp would have a parliament in scotland yet still be ruled by westminster, the worst thing that happened for the union was given the scots the parliament and the welsh the assembly because both will always want more, if the union survives their should be one parly and all should be ruled by it totally. WILF 49,960
Simple question, why do the world financial markets have no confidence is Salmond and his plan ?
Lab 10,979
Simple question, why do the world financial markets have no confidence is Salmond and his plan ? Oh plenty people do. Facts are there to be read. I don't think there's any doubt we have enough resources to hold our own. Only big debate I see is the currency issue which 'will' be resolved quickly in a Yes vote. WILF 49,960
That's not what I asked matey, the markets clearly showed what they thought yesterday when the poll came out, so why don't they believe Salmond ?
Lab 10,979
That's not what I asked matey, the markets clearly showed what they thought yesterday when the poll came out, so why don't they believe Salmond ?There was a lassie on the news explaining it yesterday. There will always be a drop when things change/ possibly change. It will balance itself out.If Westminster would just agree on the keeping the currency union it would settle down. But that's there ace card. We will see what happens on the 18th
