Fraz, as I have stated before. I respect your faith / belief call it what you will. But, and here's the sting, we have not heard from you what you actually think. Every time you are asked a question you reply with a link to other peoples thoughts. Never your own original thoughts? It does make me think, do you actually have your own thoughts or do you follow other people and mirror their thoughts on God and religion.

 

I have read posts on here from both sides but mostly each post has been from the authors point of view, apart that is from yours, where all you seem to do is quote and link to other peoples thoughts.

 

That does beg the question to me that you are not quite 100% confident in what you write and seek the confirmation of others?

In all fairness ive asked 2 or 3 times if theres any evidence for macro evolution and still havent seen any.......seems like belief in either creation or evolution is purely based on faith to me i wont hold my breath for proof of either you just go on your own understanding i guess.

Fraz, I don’t come on here to be rude to people, so please draw your horns in.

 

I know which languages the original Bible was written in thank you, but the fact is you simply can’t translate anything ‘word-for-word’ from ancient Hebrew to 15^th century English; it would read as unintelligible gibberish. So you can’t possibly say any English translation – including the KJ – is as accurate as the original.

That’s not blasphemy, it’s common bleeding sense and I would hope no one’s too thick to understand that.

 

 

As for me needing to do my history homework - let me say this:

 

When geologists discovered a flood of biblical proportions might actually have happened in ancient history the creationists all shouted “Proof, proof. See, the old testament is real”.

 

When archaeologists uncover and mapped Jericho and other settlements mentioned in the bible, again you shout “Proof, more proof, you must believe us now”.

 

But when the very same scholars discover that the Israelites worshiped several different gods, or there were cavemen, or ape men, or dinosaurs; you all run around shouting “Not true! Not true! Lies! Conspiracy! If you believe them you’ll all go to hell!!”

 

 

Religious fundamentalists like you don’t want people to know about history. They certainly don’t want them to know about science.

You just want everyone to accept your own discredited, narrow-minded view of the world.

shepp, honestly mate, leave it, you have proved yourself to the be the most willingly ignorant and unintelligent member on this thread, in my humble opinion of course. The whale video for example, honestly, quite laughable, if you put your faith in videos such as that, I think you are everything you have accused us on the opposite to you of being. Think about it closely, for a wolf like creature to evolve into whale like creature over millions of years, at some rather dragged out point it would have been a creature struggling for breath in water no? Think about it - it would Never have survived.

 

History is rich with eye witnessed accounts of the life and death of Jesus Christ and some folk willingly accepted death as a consequence for believing upon Him who died for their sins, it's fascinating area of evidence, one which should be explored independently and beyond the realms of which what essential is a hunting site.

 

For those genuinely interested in the accuracy of an authorised modern day bible, check out the dead sea scrolls, they testify wonderfully well to the authenticity of the good book.

 

I know I always say it, "do your own research" I guess it sounds a little daunting, maybe even demoralising, after all there's a whole lot of information out there, but if you're genuinely interested, don't be lazy or act like a sheep and follow like lamb to the slaughter. Start again from scratch, learn thoroughly, research extensively, with an unbiased mind and perhaps you'll be led like me and a multitude of others to ask God the ultimate question, will You reveal Yourself to me?

 

I'm not particularly intelligent or disciplined, if I can do it, anyone reading this can too.

 

P.s Avoid Wikipedia, it's hardly a trustworthy source of information on these things.
